Have a look at our menus below.  These are not exhaustive, so if there are any particular dishes you would like us to cook, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this:

Breakfast:

Menu A:

Selection of cereals
Lakeland Mues muesli, or a selection of Kellogs cereals

Full English breakfast
With dry cure bacon, local cumberland sausage, locally made black pudding, tomato or beans, fried bread and mushrooms (vegetarian alternative available)

Toast and Jam/ Marmalade
Locally made bread with Claires Handmade jam and marmalade

Tea or Coffee
Choose from either John Watt breakfast blend tea, or Bruce and Lukes espresso blend coffee

Menu B:

Selection of cereals
Lakeland Mues muesli, or a selection of Kellogs cereals

Simple poached or scrambled egg
Locally sourced free range eggs served on your choice of English breakfast muffin or toast

Toast and Jam/ Marmalade
Locally made bread with Claires Handmade jam and marmalade

Tea or Coffee
Choose from either John Watt breakfast blend tea, or Bruce and Lukes espresso blend coffee

Lunch:

Menu A

Selection of Sandwiches, Rolls or Bagels
Filled with an assortment of meats, fish and vegetarian fillings

Pasta salad (including vegetarian)
Choose from:

Smoked bacon and avocado,
Mediterranean pasta with olives, cherry tomato, red onion, garlic, basil, and feta cheese
Caprese pasta salad with mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes and basil pesto
Chicken and bacon pasta bound in garlic mayonnaise

Mixed Salad Leaves, Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes

Corned beef pie
with onion, carrot and celery

Lemon Torte
Crumbly sweet pastry with a tangy lemon filling

Carrot Cake
Moist carrot cake with a cream cheese topping

Menu B:

Selection of Sandwiches, Rolls or Bagels
Filled with an assortment of meats, fish and vegetarian fillings

Potato Salad
with spring onion, chives, and quails egg

Coleslaw
traditional, or with red cabbage, fennel and celeriac

Mixed Salad Leaves, Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes

Pork Pies
Choose either plain, or with fresh sage and stilton

Millionaires Shortbread
The classic tray bake with shortbread base, caramel filling and topped with chocolate

Afternoon Tea:

Plain or fruit scones with butter, clotted cream and preserves

Selection of home-made cakes

Selection of pastries (savoury and sweet)

Your choice of hot drink from our choice of teas and coffees

Dinner:

All our dinner menus come inclusive of a bottle of wine per 3 guests (enough for 1 large glass each), and coffee and mints for after the meal.

Menu A:

Prawn Cocktail
Served with brown bread and butter

Cumbrian hotpot
Cumbrian lamb and Cumberland sausage cooked in a red wine liquor topped with black pudding and sliced potatoes

Sticky Toffee Pudding
with toffee sauce, served with custard or fresh cream

Menu B:

Smoked Scottish Salmon
with horseradish potato salad and lime and avocado relish

Baked Chicken Breast
stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in pancetta and served with a creamy mushroom sauce

Cold Lemon Soufflé
Topped with whipped cream and white chocolate shavings

Menu C:

Spinach and Ricotta Tart
Served with Rocket and a Balsamic dressing

Mushroom and red pepper lasagne
Served with garlic bread and a side salad

Sticky Chocolate Brownie
Served warm with fresh cream

Menu D:

Leek and potato soup
Served with crusty bread

Vegetable and nut stroganoff
Served on a bed of basmati rice

After Eight cheesecake
Made with mascarpone cheese and everyone’s favourite after dinner mint.
